Appointments

A valid referral letter is an essential requirement for medicare claim purposes. A GP referral is valid for 12 months and a specialist referral is valid for only 3 months. Please make sure that you have a valid referral before each and every consult. Once a referral is received, we will triage is based on our appointment availability and the acuity of the child’s problem. Please do not forget to bring your child’s health record details including the Green Book, investigations/ results, discharge summaries, letter from the teacher and any assessment reports from school or allied health services etc. Also, any relevant photos or videos are also helpful if related to your problems. We will ask a lot of questions in order to get a full picture of the problems your child is facing. We will then provide you and your GP/ referring doctor with a plan regarding the management of your child. Please ask questions if you don’t understand anything during the consult. Sometimes your child will need further referral to paediatric subspecialities or further assessments etc which we can organise for
